Lorelei

I'm in love
But there's not much I can
do about it
1000 miles from anywhere

'Case and Davidson' are
On the CD player
Trying to conjure up my home

I'm not afraid to say
I don't think that I could stay away
Another day

When the sun is low
Down at Lorelei
We'll dance
And I'll let you know
That my heart is in your hands

Now the sun is shining
Now there's hope inside me
Now the ocean's smiling
Now you're here beside me

I'm not afraid to say
I don't think that I could stay away
Another day

When the sun is low
Down at Lorelei
We'll dance
And I'll let you know
That my heart is in your hands

Now the sun is shining
Now there's hope inside me
Now the ocean's smiling
Now you're here beside me
(Repeat)
ABOUT THE SONG:

Words and Music by Thirsty Howell

The Florida Keys are dotted with little bars and restaurants where you can have a cold beer, take a fishing charter or sit around and enjoy the ocean while listening to some great  music by acts like 'Case and Davidson'.

It was that kind of day when producer Gord Lord and I sat out on the deck of  'Lorelei' at mile marker 82.

Gord looked at the blue green water, took a sip of his beer and said, "I bet everyone who makes it down here is thinking in the back of their mind...how could I do it, could I quit my job, sell the house...how could I manage to make it down here for good?"

I thought "If you lived here why would you ever leave?"  That is 'Lorelei'

I hope you all get the chance to experience the beauty of the Keys!

(...but it wasn't me who told you to quit your day job!)
