Music from Somewhere Warm

All this constant raining
Imagine a dream vacation
Just lay your head back and
I'll take you there

The tide brings something new
In the wake of every storm
If you close your eyes you'll hear
The music from somewhere warm

There'll be Spanish guitars playing
'Besame' in harmony
If I'm in love with you
And your in love with me
You'll hear it
If I'm in love with you
And your in love with me

There's a little Tiki Shack
the locals have
To shade us from the sun

We'll spend our days on
Cuban coffee
And our nights on Haitian rum

Where the tide brings something new
In the wake of every storm
If you close your eyes you'll hear
The music from somewhere warm

There'll be Spanish guitars playing
'Besame' in harmony
If I'm in love with you
And your in love with me
You'll hear it
If I'm in Love with you
And your still in love with me

The tide is turning
The tide is turning
ABOUT THE SONG:

Words and Music by Thirsty Howell

British Columbia, Canada is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I feel blessed to have grown up here. Surrounded by mountains and oceans, the summers are sweet - if short.

Winter, on the other hand, is rainy and long.
'Gray is the price you pay' for all the greenery.

Depression has a way of setting in after several months of rain and darkness, especially after you see that Corona beer commercial and can't afford to go on vacation!

                       Thirsty's remedy:
Slab on some coconut oil, go to the nearest tanning salon and stick some "Thirsty Howell"  on your I-pod.

(ps. A shot of tequila might not hurt)
